Custom Design Process

The process of designing a piece of jewelry for someone is a great pleasure and honor for us to participate in.

With your ideas, our ideas or a combination thereof, we can design a one of kind piece of jewelry.

The custom design process is a great way for the client to see how and where their money is being spent as well as having their input on the project. From start to finish, the custom design process takes roughly four to five weeks. During the first step of the process, the client sits down with one of our designers and brainstorms their design. Every customer is given a hand in rendering a drawing of their design to bring their images to reality.

If there is a gem involved in the project, the client can then hand pick their gem, be it a diamond, sapphire, ruby, emerald, opal or whatever gem one wants. Next, a wax model of the project is created to let the client see how their idea came to life. Your project is hand sculptured in actual size out of a block of wax, much like a sculpture sculpts stone. When the wax model is completed, you may come to see it and try it on and make any final adjustments that may be necessary.

Following your approval, the wax is melted away and replaced with metal (gold, white gold, platinum etc). Then the rough metal is sanded, polished and set with your gem if there any. The final step of the custom design process is when you come back to Pave to collect the magnificent piece of art that was created especially for you!
