Pavé Designers

Our highly talented team of designers is led by Sonja, who joined Pavé in 1996. Sonja brings with her a design background from her native Switzerland and has played a principal role in cultivating the standards of in aesthetic design and customer service for which Pavé has become known. In addition to gemological training and experience in fine jewelry, our design staff is hand-selected for their artistic eye and sensibility as well as their ability to provide the best possible service for our clients. Many of our talented designers are artists in other media, such as in textiles, sculpture, mixed media, photography and graphic design.

Pavé Jewelers

Our award winning in-house workshop is led by Yas and Roberta, master jewelers who collectively have over 55 years of experience. Yas is the Production Manager/Head Goldsmith and has been with Pavé since 1990. Yas is a sixth generation metal smith, first apprenticing for his father in 1981 in the family tradition of metalwork known as "Jizai." His family's first Jazai work was chronicled in 1713 in Japan. He is descended from the well-known "Myochin" family of metal smiths and Samurai armor makers. In addition, Yas apprenticed for the world-renown master goldsmith Alan Revere, who founded the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts in San Francisco where Yas also has taught since 1985. Roberta has been with Pavé since 1993 and is the Head Diamond Setter and CAD wax specialist at Pavé. She holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in jewelry and metal smithing and has over 25 years experience in the field. Roberta is a Jewelers of America Certified Master Bench Jeweler. She also is an instructor at the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts in San Francisco where she teaches stone setting classes. We take pride in our team of jewelers who are all selected for their exceptional level of skill and artistic ability.
